The project generates 29.5 MW utilizing 760 m of head. The run-of-river power scheme comprises two intakes, a 1000 m free-surface flow tunnel, a 4.5 km buried steel penstock, a powerhouse accommodating two Pelton turbines, a switchyard, a transmission line and 7 km of access roads.
GEA’s responsibilities included design of powerhouse, north intake structures, tunnel portals, penstock anchor blocks and global penstock analysis. Overall engineering and project management by Knight Piesold Ltd. of Vancouver.
