Eurocan Pulp Mill is augmenting their plant with a steam-driven turbine/generator unit. The turbine floor is 8 m above the ground level and is structurally separated from the pre-engineered exterior superstructure. A 50 m long pipe bridge carries process piping to and from the mill. Structural upgrades to existing mill structures accommodate the high-pressure steam lines from the boiler to the turbine building.
GEA’s role: Detailed design of the powerhouse and pipe bridge structure, preparation of tender documents, structural field reviews during construction. Lead Consultant: Balanced Power Engineering Inc.
