Athlete’s Village Water Supply

In order to service the 2010 Winter Olympics athlete’s village, which will subsequently serve as residential housing, an expansion of the water distribution system was required. Three key features are a pump station, a semi-aboveground reservoir and a pressure reducing station. Considerable attention was given to achieving balance of aesthetics and economics through the careful selection of materials.

GEA’s responsibilities included detailed structural design and construction field reviews of the facility. Services provided as subconsultant to Kerr Wood Leidal Associates.
