Antelope Coal Crusher

The project comprised a new primary dump hopper/crusher facility. The crusher was designed to be fed directly by 50 tonne mine trucks. Foundations are on piles drilled into the scoria subgrade. Framing is steel and the hopper is of steel plate lined with abrasion-resistant liners.

GEA’s responsibilities included design of crusher and hopper foundations and superstructure, design of truck dump station including preliminary design of reinforced earth retaining wall. Services provided in association with Sandwell Inc.
