Iqaluit Main Power Station

The project comprised a major upgrade to the engine line-up at Nunavut Power Corporation’s 12.6 MW diesel-fuelled facility. Structural works comprised new genset foundations and a new engine hall floor, all of which were constructed while the plant remained in operation.

GEA’s responsibilities included detailed design of the new generator substructures and design management for the plant upgrades and renovations.
