Bluefish Hydroelectric

The existing facility comprises two 4 MW installations utilizing 33 m of head between Bluefish and Prosperous Lakes, 26.6 m³/s is currently conveyed through a tunnel to the two powerhouses, however the intake is substandard and required a new trash rack and gate. The existing rock-crib dam is failing and is being replaced with a new dam and spillway.

GEA was responsible for detailed design of the gate, hoisting system, gate guides and embedments on behalf of the gate contractor. GEA is designing the structural components of the new dam and spillway.
